LP - GF - EU - 2013 - BACK TO BLACK - 006025 17456976 - SEALED 180 GRAM Pink Moon è il terzo e ultimo album del cantautore inglese Nick Drake, pubblicato il 25 febbraio del 1972.Eccetto alcune note di pianoforte nella prima traccia, l'unico strumento presente nell'album è una chitarra acustica: tale scelta radicale fu dell'autore, insoddisfatto degli arrangiamenti presenti sui suoi due album precedenti. Il tecnico delle registrazioni John Wood ha raccontato che Drake incise tutte le canzoni in diretta, suonando e cantando contemporaneamente, quasi sempre completandole in una sola take; l'intero album fu registrato in sole due notti.L'album, della durata di appena 28 minuti, fu l'ultima pubblicazione ufficiale a nome dell'artista prima della sua morte avvenuta circa due anni dopo, il 25 novembre del 1974. Pochi mesi prima di morire, Drake incise – sempre accompagnato dalla sola chitarra – altri cinque brani destinati ad un ipotetico nuovo disco e pubblicati in seguito su due raccolte postume: Time Of No Reply (1986) e Made to Love Magic (2004). I ritmi lenti e inquietanti e l'atmosfera da film horror saranno elementi che influenzeranno molto altri generi, su tutti il doom metal, e migliaia di band metal dichiareranno di essere state ispirate dai Black Sabbath per la loro musica. Forse proprio i concetti extra-musicali quali la fascinazione per l'oscurità e il mistero hanno attirato dure critiche al gruppo, che in seguito cambierà i propri interessi per dedicarsi ad altre tematiche. Ancora oggi il loro esordio, nonostante qualche immaturità caratteriale e stilistica, resta un classico nel panorama musicale internazionale, un disco seminale che ha aperto nuove strade creando un suono inconfondibile. Circa la canzone Black Sabbath da notare l'esecuzione nel riff principale del primo brano, uno dei più noti dei Black Sabbath, di note separate da un intervallo di tritono, considerato nel medioevo di stampo satanico.
