Small Change è il quarto album in studio del cantante e cantautore Tom Waits, pubblicato il 21 settembre 1976 su Asylum Records.È stato registrato a luglio allo Studio 3 di Wally Heider a Hollywood. Ha avuto successo commerciale e ha superato i suoi album precedenti. Ciò ha portato Waits a mettere insieme una band itinerante - The Nocturnal Emissions, composta da Frank Vicari al sassofono tenore, FitzGerald Jenkins al basso e Chip White alla batteria e al vibrafono. I Nocturnal Emissions fecero un lungo tour in Europa e negli Stati Uniti dall'ottobre 1976 al maggio 1977.
